Tenterfield NSW

Tenterfield, in the north of the New England Region of NSW, is known as 'the birth place of our nation'.  It is one of the country's most historically significant historical settlement packed full of exciting things to see and do including the Tenterfield Saddlery.

We arrived here this afternoon at 1500hrs after a good trip from Coffs Harbour.  Up the Pacific Highway to Woodburn where we turned left and passed through Coraki and Casino.  We then went on to cross a couple of big hills (namely the Great Divide) and settled ourselves into a caravan park for the night.

Unfortunately, the weather is rather inclement so there is not much of a chance of sightseeing and scoping all of those significant historical things that are here.

However, tomorrow is another day as we head into Queensland hoping that there old tourism adage works for us - something about being beautiful one day.........
