And a Very Good Friday!

Still more beautiful sunshine and a bit more fishing.  Had an ordinary day on the water yesterday (Thursday) so we thought that we might just take it easy and just try fishing locally in the river and just out the front of the river.

For starters, the Captain's attempts at cast netting was very successful.  His first throw this morning only yielded a baby whiting but his second throw was superb - managed to catch enough live bait to see us through the day.  In fact, some of the mullet were nearly big enough to take home and cook for brekky.

It was obviously the Captain's day today as he managed to catch all of the good fish.  Mainly blue salmon and we only kept one of them - no need to take home fish that may not be eaten!

And tomorrow is another day, although with the number of people that are here for the extra long weekend, there may be a bit of a wait at the boat ramp and then there may not be any fish left to catch!
